A survey on the current needs of the Czech performing arts scene as a result of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in connection with ATI’s open calls and programmes was distributed to respondents on 7 April 2020. The evaluation will take into account responses received by 11 May 2020. The goal of the survey was to map the needs of the performing arts sector in relation to the calls and programmes of ATI.

The survey focussed on these thematic areas: professional growth; the archiving and distribution of performing arts work via digital media and maintaining contact with the public; marketing and promotional materials for international collaboration; and discussion of the current societal role of arts and culture and communication with institutions that provide support to the performing arts from public budgets.
Discussion of the current societal role of arts and culture and communication with institutions providing support to the performing arts from public budgets was assessed as the most pressing need, followed by the archiving and distribution of performing arts works via digital media and maintaining contact with the public. In third place was professional growth and in last place marketing and promotional materials for international collaboration.
