Theatre Translation Handbook

This handbook is a guide for anyone who wants to explore the many facets of theatre translation and needs an introduction to the subject. It was created as part of the PerformCzech SKILLS: Drama Revival project, which is an educational and networking program for translators of contemporary drama. The aim is to provide the young generation of translators with tools and activities to strengthen their professional skills and knowledge and foster motivation to explore and circulate contemporary new plays from the Central and Eastern European region. The program includes both a theoretical knowledge base and practical activities for playwrights, translators, theatre makers, and academics working with new plays. The program also provides support in mapping and understanding dramatic literature in the Central and Eastern European countries.
